Default 63 K1000 Front Springs Question

Got to pull the front leaf springs out from under my 63 K1000 for rebuild or replace. One spring hobbled together mismatched leafs, other looks original 7 leafs......So was 7 leaf original fitment, 2 extra leafs for the heavier engine? From what looks available in catalogs/spring shops for aftermarket springs, looks like 5 leaf was original for Chevy. Anyone have an original leaf spring they would sell for parts? Thanks and Happy New Year!

Anybody have experience with LMC front leaf springs for a K1000 and will 5 leafs hold up the V6?

What will most likely happen with the 5 leaf springs is the weight of the V6 will make the front end drop quite a bit, I 've seen the results on a 67 Suburban and it didn't look right at all.

All I've heard about LMC is stay away. Chinese made stuff that fails more often than not.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

Thanks Fetch, appreciate the reply!.....Hoping to find a used original front spring to buy for parts, and then have my springs rebuilt-re-arched by my local spring shop here in Vermont....
