Speedo to T221 cable length
Hello All,
Would anyone happen to know the speedo cable length from the instrument cluster to the Rockwell transfer case. The current cable I have is too short and will only make it to the SM420. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Do you have a tape measure? Measure the one you have and add the distance it needs to get there.

Bryan:
I don't know how much extra length you need, but GM had a similar problem in the 80's on full size trucks and suburbans. I found a nice "extension" on several in the junk yards that had a female on one side and a male on the other for just the purpose of lengthing the original speedo cable. I used one on my 3 speed with overdrive since its cable is a bit further back on the tranny than my original 3 speed. For a couple of bucks at a pull a part, I would guess it added about a foot to my cable length. Hope that helps. Regards, Steve |
