Default Vin Decode?? What do I have?

Morning folks. Im new here but Ive bought a truck and Im trying to figure out what I have.
The Serial # on the a pillar is :m V3005PN2440C I think.

Its a really strange vehicle to say the least. I know with the age its hard to tell what people have done to them in the past.
It seems to have been a county owned vehicle. It was a "panel" type truck at one point but thats gone and a big piece of metal welded to the back of the cab.
Ill post pictures later. One of the most odd things is the rear is 10 lug but the front is 8 lug???
It still has the 305 and 4 speed.
Any insight into what this thing may be would be appreciated.
Thanks
Clyde

All the truck has value. It's VERY hard to find, it's too bad the value is in history and not monetary though. Most kids today just chop anything up and try to make a modern car out of it.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

V= Vacuum hydraulic brakes
The truck should be 5 lug front and 10 lug rear.
Going by the production number 2440 it would be a 61.
