64 GMC factory power steering question.
I think this is the right place to ask this question
My truck has the factory power steering. My question is. Is the power center link that the power steering ram goes onto different from the manual set up? Thanks for any help. Last edited by nathankershaw; June 24th, 2014 at 06:10 PM. |

yes - the drag link and pitman arm are both unique to power steering trucks. Manual gearbox itself is the same. Drag link is made with a boss to connect the rear of the power cylinder, and a threaded end to accept the control valve. Pitman arm is totally shaped different than a non-power assist equipped truck.
