Default Oil squirting out of top of ventilation canister

Great site, first post. Turned over my 1964 305E for the first time and oil squirted out the oil canister and the ventilation canister. Fixed the oil canister leak with a new seal and filter. Turned it over again and oil is still coming out a little hole at the top of the canister. I am pretty sure no oil should be up in that part of the engine. Any thoughts? Looking at keeping the 305E. Is a rebuild in order to correct this or pulling the motor? Thanks for any input.

Welcome Submariner!
is it coming out from the top of this item?

Perhaps your missing the oil pressure line.

Thanks for the help Funky. It is the ventilation canister on the top left. The oil is coming out the little intention you can see in your photo at the top of the canister.
The biggest question I have is how to get the canister apart. It seems to come at the center. I tried to get a strap wrench on it with no joy.
Thank again for the help. I will try to get a pic.

Funky, you totally had it right under a ton of sludge and dirt was an oil pressure outlet on top of the oil filter canister assembly that was not hooked up and spraying. Thanks a lot.

Glad you found and fixed it. Mine had that issue, but it was spraying through the oil sensor.
