Bottom Radiator hose
I am replacing my radiator on my 1966 GMC truck 305 V6, the new radiator is pretty much a good fit however the bottom radiator male connector that goes into the bottom hose female radiator side is 1 3/4 inches and the female hose that it goes into is 2 inches. A 1/4 inch play between the two. My question is will my screw circular hose clamp tighten and bring them together enough to make a good seal...
I do not want to try and ruff up the hose and not be able to return it if it don t work. |

Re: Bottom Radiator hose
I almost use an aluminum radiator at one time on a different vehicle. It had came with a short section of hose (about 2.5-3" long) to be use as an adaptor. I had called the place I bought it from to find out what going on and they told me it was an adaptor. The adaptor goes on then the hose. Radiator had a good warranty but the hose adaptor have nothing. I returned it and found what I needed. I believe it was an universal radiator, no wonder it fit so many different vehicles.
