Default Spot paint

I painted my own 61. It's color is called cardinal red. Irma moved my portable shed around and scratched a few area's. I painted 2 coats of paint followed by 2 coats of clear. Does anyone know the best way to do a spot paint job? Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. I have googled it but was curious what other idea's people have.

Thanks Greg

Default Re: Spot paint

Having 30 plus years in Autobody and paint industry the way I would do it is spot paint the color to the repair area and feather the color out to blend it to the rest of the panel then clear coat the entire panel to seal off the blend, that will also require sanding the entire panel with 1000-1200 grit sand paper and if an adhesion promoter is available in your area, seal the entire panel with that before the clear coat.
