Default Cab questions

I have a 63 cab and I have a question about the fresh air cab vents. I recently removed them to replace the gasket and repaint them upon removal I found the were being help in by double sided tape. My question is on the proper mounting is there a nut or clip for the back side

My cab is a 1966, but those vents were held in with sheet metal screws that went into that metal flange in the kick panel. Tape was likely a substitute for the gasket they used from the factory between vent and flange.

Hope that helps.

I assume "they" means the gaskets? The tape was to hold the gasket on temporarily, I guess, to get plate installed. Four very tiny dabs of RTV will hold it.

The vent is held with sheet metal screws into a hole. As sclor said.

Is that your question?

Yes, that was my question. Appreciate your help, I think I will be able reinstall the vents with confidence.
