OLD aftermarket AC
I am ready to recharge the very old aftermarket ac in my truck. A fair amount of oil was lost while the system was in pieces. I have a supply of the correct type freon but am unsure what kind of oil to put in the system. Any suggestions? Thanks. Kknotts Ellisville Ms.

Re: OLD aftermarket AC
Kknotts,
If your system is an old R12 system you would use standard mineral oil. Have a great evening, -Jeannie 6066 GMC Club |

Re: OLD aftermarket AC
I would use the correct refrigerant oil, most major chain auto parts stores carry it, just make sure it's R12 compatible.

Thank you much. Got a small container of R12 compatible at NAPA today. kknotts Ellisville Ms.
