Ok, so if you use one of these ebay CNC HEI dizzys:

...you cant use a 14" aircleaner. Unless you want to modify the cleaner base and filter a little. I cut a small notch out of the base plate and alittle bit out of the filter to make it all fit. My best friend does amazing metal engraving, so I got a cleaner with a solid aluminum top for him to go nuts on! I'll post pics when it is done.

I used a 14 inch on my 305, but I am running a 4 barrel so no mods needed. I think it will clear an HEI easily enough as well.

If you are using a 4 bbl carb, you can use the spacer off of an 88 to 95 chevy pick up. Located between air cleaner and throttle body. Most gm trucks around this vintage with v-8 or 4.3 v-6 used this spacer, if it was fuel injected. Also includes astro van, and full size van as well as s-10 with 4.3. Holly 500 2 bbl uses same size air horn as 4 bbl
