I finally found a power steering pump and mounting bracket for my 68.

That's the correct setup for 67-69 pickups. Got one for my 68 K2500. I got the pressure line fro Rock Auto for a 69 K series with V6 since I'm going with a power steering gear box rather than a power assist ram.

Yup I plan on doing the same.
This later style bracket is 5 pcs of steel welded together.
The earlier style is a much simpler design but it has a front and a back bracket. I've been fortunate enough to collect a few different pulley combinations over the years.
