Default 67 K15 Rear Driveshaft Spline

I noticed this weekend that the spline on the rear driveshaft on my 1967 K15 seems very extended. I don't know how long the slotted spline section of the driveshaft is, but from the picture you can see a noticeable portion of the spline sticking out from the coupling with the front driveshaft section that comes from the transfer case and goes to the rear diff.
This is a 305E V6 with an SM420 transmission. No lift, all stock. Does this seem like the shaft might be too extended from the coupling, or is this much visible spline normal? I don't want to worry over nothing, but I trust the forum's great minds on what is "normal" for these old beasts.

That look normal to me. However, it does look like it need lubrication. When I got my truck I couldn't make the slip joint move. Had to heat it up with a heat gun to seperate it. Once I had seperated it, disassembled the yoke (to remove the seal), and cleaned everything then I lubed it up installed a new spline seal then reassembled it.

If you do take it apart, to assemble it you install the spline seal onto the male spline. Once the female spline (yoke) is installed then you assemble the seal (Splicer/Dana D3G) onto the yoke.

Also see attachment.
