Seat risers/brackets in '62 GMC?
Hello all,
I'm new to these parts and recently picked up a '62 fenderside. The previous owner disassembled a lot of the interior and I'm trying to piece it back together. While I had the seat out I cleaned the floor a bit and put a new sender gasket & filler neck on the gas tank. My question is this - there are a set of adjustable rails on the bottom of the seat, but it looks very low and as if the angle isn't quite right. Is there some sort of riser/bracket/feet to bolt the sliding rails to the floor? Or should I just fab something up right quick? If I do wind up making something, what's the proper seat height/angle? Thanks a million! |

Re: Seat risers/brackets in '62 GMC?
If anyone's interested, I decided to stop over-thinking things and just cut some lenghts of 3/4" black pipe to use as risers. I eyeballed 3" in the rear and that corresponded to roughly 2" on an angle up front. Seems to give a decent height and angle all around.
