Default headlight alignment

I am having problems aligning headlights. The bezel surrounding the two headlights on each side wont let me adjust the headlights far enough up or to the side.
I've tried to tweak them, but cant get enough room to align the headlights. the grill, surround bezel and other parts came from several trucks. And they likely had been wrecked at different points.
Are they headlights that are slightly smaller than original?
anyone have issues with this?

If it the trim piece around the headlight you are talking about then I had to removed them on my 64 headlights. There is not enough room to get a screw driver in there. There only a few screws holding the trim on anyway, not a big deal.

yes, it is the trim piece. If I align the headlights I cant get the trim on it. I've painted the truck and hate to leave it out....

Mine was a tight fit when I put the trim back on, but I got it back on. Unless something else is causing a body trim alignment problems to prevent the installation of the trim. Maybe someone else has experience this problem. Do you have any pictures of the problem? Maybe we will see something different.

here are several photos. I'm going to open up the headlight holes in the trim piece unless someone has a better idea or I've assembled it wrong....

You can see my headlight fit tight. Also the headlight stick out of the trim piece about 3/8'-1/2".
