Default Dash lights and lenses

Just updated my dash lights with LED bulbs - Wow, bright - low power demand, and so much less heat.

Anyone every found a source for the lenses? My turn signal indicator is the worst = melted and unreadable.

One good, of the four "idiot" lights... the GEN.

Maybe used? Or, some other vehicle that you guys have seen work?

The easiest way is to go to party bazaar or some other party store and get those colored plastic lenses that go on strobe lights. You can get a pack of 10 for like $2.00. Then just cut to fit and use clear labels like these for the GEN labels and stuff. It takes about 30 minutes to cut all four and you're back to good.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

Thanks fellas, I believe it doesn't hurt to at least ask.

@Funky61 ~ Nice restore thread, thanks

@FetchMeAPepsi ~ nice idea, thanks

Looks like the green lense from 67-72 may work too, I can get them here at work.

I'll keep tinkering... and eat this elephant of a project, one-bite-at-a-time...

Update - Bought an additional used instrument panel (complete) used in great shape. All of the lenses are in premium shape. The one in my truck freshened up well, but, the little things that had been carved in, bugged me. In the process of cleaning and trying to get the details. Struggling with what the finish should be... prefer an original look. My old one was hacked and rough so I painted it, but, not really happy with the color choice. May re-chrome and paint? Or, a shade or two darker from the interior color this time..?
