Default What is with prices lately?

Just stumbled on this set of heads on ebay for our engines.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-GMC-hea...f5b077&vxp=mtr

I can't believe the prices that people think they can get for some things. It makes me mad because those heads are probably going to end up going to the scrap yard because nobody would ever pay that price for them....

Am I alone here?

Outrageous! The seller is clueless. I've got a set of 305 heads and will probably sell them for scrap with the rest of the eng Pete Chronis Northern Cal.

Since Vintage truck magazine has featured a few v 6 gmc's people seem to have gotten a little crazy with the prices. BC

Just so I don't get burned, since this Ebay seller is saying these are rebuilt, what should it cost me to get a set rebuilt?

Someone said its really expensive to rebuild V6 stuff if you are paying a professional to do it....surely not 695.00 for heads, but probably still quite a bit huh?

I like the dirt dobbler nests in all the holes - reminds me of my stuff

I had a pair of Magnum heads rebuilt at a local machine shop a few years ago for about $250.

$250 is what I would expect to pay.
