Default 1964 GMC Steering Gear 4 Wheel Drive

Hello I was wondering if any Members Know if a Factory 4 Wheel Drive Steering Gear is the Same as a 2 Wheel Drive ,Also What years Interchange?.I am Looking for one for my 64 GMC 3/4 Ton 4Wheel Drivd ,Thank you.

Did you get it figured out? The 2wd seems to be different from 4wd. It looks like same unit for late 63-68 Chevy 1/2T/3/4T 4wd....and GMC 1/2T 1966, 3/4T 66-68 4wd. Non verified info but pretty close.

Lares 8669..very expensive. or this (unless that is an old price or old availability). You could also find a donor unit/rebuild yours.

Thanks for the Information I thought it might be 4x4 specific ,mine has a broken Housing so I can't rebuild it Thanks again .
