Default Stock wheel size for 1965 K1000

I have read other threads on here that the 16" wheel was stock on k1000 (4x4) but I think my grandfather' came with 15's. Does anyone have the info on wheels? The truck is pretty basic, not a custom cab. Thanks.

I don't know 100%, but I think 15s were standard. It's what my 62 4x4 came with. 16s were an option though.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

The standard size for 1965 Chevy K10 was 15" x 5.5".

thanks for the follow up. I thought they were 15's but my family changed them out to 16" wagon wheels some time ago. I want to take it back to the 15's and run 7.5 x15 sta super traction as this was tire my grandfather ran. The closest wheel I can find is stockton wheel has a type 20 they can make, smallest is 15x6.

If you want to go with factory style steelies you can go to any used tire shop and they can probably find them for you. They were used on trailers pretty regular too so they're everywhere.

Yes, standard 15" nub wheels with 6 lug on 5.5 pattern are plentiful. Several widths available.

Yes, make sure they are the 4 nub 15 x 6 from the 70s if you have (or want to do) the disc brake conversion.

ok, dumb question of the day, what is a nub? The part the wheel cover clamps on to? I am familiar with riveted and welded wheels.
