Default Anyone ever made "ram tuned" manifolds for a BBV-6?

Seems to me the old workhorse is a prime candidate for ram tuning.

Anyone done it?

I'm figuring on welding my own manifold out of tubing so it wouldn't be much more trouble to fix the lengths.

Not just equal length, but a length designed to time the intake pressure pulses running up and down the intake runners to hit the intake valve just as it opens.

Name Dodge "Ramcharger" came from work done to use it in early 60's.

Lots of new complex intakes use it.

do a web search and there's several articles on it.

My quick calculations show about 20" long runners for our engines.

Ah, I was thinking exhaust.

What RPM range would you shoot to "tune" for?

If you're going through all that work, would you be better off getting a custom ground cam first and then tune it as duration will change the needed runner length for a specific RPM range?

Just planning on stock engine and aiming at the "peak torque" speed.

See how it works, then look for second job to pay for the speed equipment.
