Default Swapping 4:10 Dana 60 gears to 3:54's

Where do I get 3:54's that fit one for one with my 1966 1500 series stock Dana 60 axles and housing? If one of you has them, thats good - tell me how much and lets get them on the way to Alabama. Don't want to swap the whole rear end really because that seems stupid. If ordering from Yukon gear is the best way, then fine - I was told 67-72's had 3:54's and would fit my housing and axles so someone on here outta know

You may also need a new yoke. If your old yoke is a 10 splines. The new one should be a 29 splines to match the new pinion.

Im not finding factory 3:54s, at least in a 1969 GMC Data book . They do show a 3;73 as an RPO in a 2500 series D60 . I think your only option is to buy the gear new for that truck

I found this.
P/N 2448081 is for the GMC Dana 60-35 Ratio 3.54 1962-65. My book only goes to 65. The number was replace with 3940104 gear Assy. (Dana 24813x) and 3940103 Yoke (Dana 24813x) If your case number is 30357 (4.10 and down) it will fit.

Dana application chart 24813x

Dana 24813-5x includes the bolts and pinion nut.

3.54 ratio Dana 60's were optional in '68 1500's and 2500's with the 351E V-6 and 396 V-8, but no other engines.

guessing that is going to come off a 3:54 geared parts truck only and thus probably just need to be buying the gears too then, otherwise I will end up with gears and no way to make them attach to my driveshaft. **** what a pain

Where is this case number stamped on the housing just so I can check and be certain before jumping here

I see you have 4:10 now, if it is not a power lock it should be case 30357. Like I said my book only goes to 65. It’s a casting number on the “back” of the case. The yoke is a Dana 3-4-5731-1X. Had the wrong number in my post.
The picture is from a Chevy 20 1965-70 Dana 4:56 30358.
