Default installing 700r Transmission

351e V6

I am removing my Turbo 400 and going to install a 700 4speed Transmission. I have noticed the flex plate has a different bolt diameter than the new converter. Has anyone done this and have any in site.

I would also like to know if anyone knows if anyone makes Headers for these engines

I found this info on the web.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...s-spacers.html

If possible you might be able to drill new holes for the Th700R4.

Hope this help.

Please keep us in the loop on your project.

I bought a 351 with the automatic adapter and 700R4 at an auction a couple of years ago. Sold the 700R4 and used the engine with my 4 speed manual. I still have the adapter, flywheel/flexplate and the torque converter. I'll try to get some pictures tonight and see if it tells you anything.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this. Here is the picture of the flywheel setup. Thought I had the torque converter also but couldn't find it.
