What engines were available in 1963 GMC series 1000? they sent me wrong vacuum advance diaphragm and I see the correct one listed as a 283 cu in for GMC series 1000? Didn't think that engine was available, please advise all engines available.

The 305E was the only engine available on US models, Canadian GMC trucks used the 283 that year.

I have a 305A and 305E and both have the same Vac Advance unit but it does not match what most FLAPS sell. I believe the ones I have are 60-62 and I also believe it is the same for a 283. It has an actuator rod riding in a slot, the one they sent has a flat actuator guided thru a sheet metal bracket. O'Reilly's shows the one I need for a 1963 GMC series 1000 283 motor. I will return the RockAuto and get the O'reilly's. Thank you for the info. RockAuto accepts returns for any reason but will only pay the ship if it's their mistake. I should have looked at the picture more carefully.
