Default Shift knob emblem

I'm not sure which catagory this question goes under so I'll put it here. I'm making a shift knob for my truck and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can get a round GMC emblem to fit on the top of it? I'm making a wooden knob on the lathe and I thought it would look nice if I had something to top off the knob.

Here are a couple I've done as tests.

They're not supposed to be upside down, but hopefully you can get the idea.

If you can find a lapel style pin with a original early 1900's GMC logo could be used, I've seen them around.

Its wood so you could burn the flying GMC emblem into the end of it, then carve around it.
Or you could go with a glued on decal. Vinyl places will make those for you for a couple of dollars.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

Just use a small cutting bit in your router and replicate the old 1940's GMC emblem logo - its basically like doing cursive so you can't mess up but it will still have that old school look and historic significance - see image

There are a couple of round shaped lapel pins right now on ebay, one is the early 1900's and the other is the late 60's style.

Both of those lapel pins look good. I never thought of those. All of the ideas are pretty good, thanks.

I made this sticker for my '55 GMC when a guy gave me a tissue holder that needed to be de-bowtied. 2 layers of vinyl. Probably would work if the knob was finished glossy before the decal application then clearcoated afterward.

I think that embebbing one of those lapel pins in there is the coolest idea though!
