Default Waking up 401 after a long sleep

My 401 came from a "New Idea" harvester but no info on hours, etc.

Right now I can't rotate it but the engine isn't tied down so it wants to lean over so I can't get too forceful with it.

Gonna get it on my engine stand soon and start figuring out what condition it's in and what I have to do to get ir running. (Got a good friend that used to work on them so he may be helpful).

But here's my question. If it's locked up and I have to tear it down what do I need to have on hand to put it back together if it's in reasonable shape?

I assume I'll need a gasket set -- what else would you suggest I start looking for now so I can have it on hand when I'm ready to put it back together?

Thanks

What a great challenge.
It seems that this situation is one of the most common things on this forum.
It is unfortunate that we don't hear "Chapter 2" often enough, leaving us to wonder how many found V-6's (and 12's) are resuscitated and how.
Please let us know your progress.
Thanks

Sounds like fun to me! Before you go tearing it down, you may want to find your new gaskets first because some of them are getting hard to find - so if you just rip your existing gaskets off, you may not have a new one to use. Shop first

Sorry for the delay but gremlins had some fun in my computer but the third trip to the tech shop seems to have put things right.

I've got one set of gaskets off eBay (Thank, Ed!) and am considering getting a second set as a backup.

Thanks for the help guys!
