Previously posted about limping my 64 GMC home. Now trying to find correct front brake shoes. 1964 GMC 1500 with 8 lugs heavy duty brakes. Ordered two sets but both not correct, as too narrow shoe pads. Do I need to use 2500 series for ordering? Suggestions and reference numbers -lease.

The 1500 would be 3/4 ton model for the 60s trucks. 1000 model is half ton. Here's an old post from the archiver that had one on Ebay. It's long gone, but there are parts numbers.

Charliethe web numbers are the base number for the brake shoes. An example of a base web # is ft248--248 is the fmsi number for the brake shoe web pattern. Every brake shoe builder uses the fmsi number to identify brake shoes. I hope i have explained this to your satisfaction.
