Default Vin

Hi all
New to site.
Thinking about buying a 1964 GMC flatbed. The VIN has me baffled.
Help!

Thanks in advance!

Better double check that VIN and your typing. It almost says: Chevy, 1/2T long bed, built in Freemont, 2808th unit built. Should have a 4 before the C.
Unless this is Canadian but don't find U.S.A. or Canadian numbers like that.
Is this number on a Vin plate on door sill, kick panel, on motor or ?? Also what is the letter after the "305" on front passenger side of motor? "A" "B" "D" "E" etc

It was on the door sill. The plate on the interior drivers kick panel (where the flap door is to let air in) said gross weight 5200lbs. sounds like a half ton. Very strange. Thanks for replying.

6 lug is half ton, 8 lug is 3/4 and up. May be a home made flat bed?

what is the ser. nbr on the registration. perhaps someone has slipped another body on there. it seems to happen . so check the vin on the door against the paper registration and they should match or stay away from it
