Hey good morning all. The ol' Harrison radiator in my truck is leaking at a tank seam, so I picked up a couple of good, used candidate radiators locally, that by all appearances , are correct for the truck. Buford had a rough home-built radiator support, with inner tube lower pads. I'm trying to determine what the original radiator support looked like. In the LMC catalog, they show the support pad and pad retainer, but nothing illustrated as to what these attach to.
I've got an assembly manual coming, hope that will answer my question but in the meantime does anyone have an image of the radiator support itself? I'll probably end up building one unless there's one out there that needs a home. Thank you very much for lending a hand here. Last edited by Buford; July 6th, 2025 at 03:01 PM. |

My never-off '60 305 1500 radiator just sits soldered into a sheet metal U held to the front wall on by 3 bolts per side.
Drain, hoses, 6 bolts and it is in your hands. Never looked at it in 55 years, but happy to do it again if you need more. |

Thanks Jim, my truck has had a 283 V8 installed so that changes things but I've got it figured out. Just waiting on the rubber mounts and retainers to get it dialed in.
